For as long as I can remember, and even further back than that according to my parents, I have always been extremely active. I grew up as a year round athlete which thankfully helped me maintain my physical fitness. Unfortunately when I finished HS my athletic career came to an end and I genuinely had no idea how much effect that would have on my overall wellness. I worked out here and there but not enough to keep me on a healthy track. At this time, I was also dealing with severe anxiety and had some major pulls on my mental health that were affecting me both physically and mentally. After a long battle of trying to bring myself back to the place I wanted to be, I realized that in order to genuinely feel well, I needed to focus on every aspect of myself. This led me to practice methods of wellness for the Mind, Body, & Spirit and jump started my journey as a wellness enthusiast.
As I started practicing different things that took care of each different aspect of my health I began to watch myself come back together and transform into the person I love to be. I practice yoga, meditation, boxing, and I love to go on long walks/jogs. I try to eat as clean as possible whenever I can although I’m definitely guilty of splurging every now and again! I find comfort and relief in painting and dancing, and have recently learned how to play the ukulele. I believe practicing creative hobbies does wonders for the mind and can be a true asset for general wellness.
I have gone through a 200hr yoga teacher training and am a certified Usui Holy Fire III Reiki Master Teacher. I am an extremely intuitive empath and pull oracle cards for inspiration as well as for others. I collect crystals and study their healing and energetic properties as well as use them to make jewelry and other fun wire wrapped pieces. Another passion of mine is videography/photography and my biggest escape is writing-- I am currently working on some poetry and prose that show a transformation from a darker place to a healthy and happy life as well as a few other projects.
I have spent a lot of time in my life debating what I wanted to do with my future. I used to struggle with the fact that my mind can be a bit all over the place and I constantly have a million things that I want to work on. A few things that have never changed is my love for writing, videography, and helping others but I wasn’t sure how I could do all of these.
As I started to progress on my journey towards becoming my best self, I realized that there was potential for me to help others by sharing my progress and interests with them as I go. I wanted to form a platform that focused on ALL aspects of wellness, meaning that I wanted to create a safe space that could be used for support, a creative outlet, wellness tips/tricks/advice, and a space to practice physical activities that people may not (yet) feel comfortable participating in outside of their homes. I had no idea how I would make this work despite the fact that I had tons of ideas about what I wanted to do. I was over the moon excited once I realized that I could combine everything that I love to do, and then some, as a wellness enthusiast and influencer.
This inspired me to launch Wicked Smaht Wellness-- a platform where we can do a little bit of everything all inspired by wellness for the Mind, Body, and Spirit.
I take pride in and truly love the fact that WSW can thrive both virtually and live in person. The entire world had been enduring trying times when WSW was born and it has been my goal to offer as much as possible virtually to all of our group members but I am also proud of the workshops, events, classes, and retreats that we have had as well as those that are soon to come!
Wicked Smaht Wellness truly is a community for GROWTH. I am constantly working on myself and am grateful to be able to share my journey with you as you embark on your own journey of Growth.
Some of the best advice I feel that I can share to others is to NEVER convince yourself that you can’t do something or that a particular lifestyle isn’t for you. You are much more than the anxieties that try to block you from being your best self. Write your own script and allow the Universe to listen to your intentions. If you truly believe in your story, then, the Universe will too.
I am a firm believer in Good Vibes Only. I can honestly say that through all ups and downs in my life, this has been my favorite mantra ever since I was young. This does not mean that we are always surrounded by only “Good Vibes”. Life happens, obstacles occur, and its about creating the Good Vibes that will help you grow and progress on your journey. The way I have adapted to any struggle is by trying to find the positive, even if I wasn’t always successful. This has brought me to where I am today which has truly proven to me that everything happens for a reason.
People always comment on the fact that I am always smiling, no matter what the circumstances are. I pride myself in this because it truly is due to the fact that I am following my favorite mantra and living with Good Vibes Only.
